Request: Akroma and Kaalia by Sonellion Request: Akroma and Kaalia by Sonellion
Akroma, Angel of Wrath and Kaalia of the Vast from Magic the Gathering. Request by ask-kaalia.

(If thereís one Commander pre-con I canít find anywhere, itís Heavenly Inferno. Also, requests are coming back slowly since Iím trying to use my free time for requests, but they may slow down a bit since Iím still working on the webcomic!)

I wish I could have made Kaalia work for me but she always made me a giant target in EDH games

Haha yeah, I hardly play my Kaalia deck against people who don't know me well, because most people who are familiar with me will know that I don't play super aggressively. Even my Jenara deck makes me a huge target, so the only 'neutral' decks I can play are Teysa (until late game), Drana, and occasionally Damia (until people realize it's a creature-hate deck).

Is that a Quicksilver Amulet dangling off Kaalia's hip? If it is, I love it. Totally awesome.

Steller art.

Thanks!

Yes, it is; it's quite representative of her ability after all (albeit less conditional than her actual ability).

Haha well, whenever it's available (which, surprisingly, it rarely is) I'll look up a higher resolution version of the card art in order to preserve as many original details as I can.

Yeah, sadly, it is kinda rare for the card art to be available in high-rez. :( You still do an awesome job, though, so I'm still jealous, lol.

Your art is gorgeous; I'm blown away every time you post a new picture.

Thank you! :) The lore and characters of Magic are quite fascinating alone (albeit expansive), but it just so happens that I am also very into the card game too.

You're welcome! That's always a good thing!! Very well put-together games/lore/stories etcetcetc always help to make things that much more interesting C: My college buddies were all seriously into Magic, but I never really tried my hand at it. I did go through all of their cards and read the info on them though XD

Yeah, my friends were the ones to get me into Magic, but the main thing that got me into it was the art, and the lore was secondary. Playing the card game was another thing entirely, but it's really quite fun.

Oh yes, the illustration for everything they ever brought in was just entirely amazing! It was fun to watch them play, but I'll be honest with you the tournaments were boring. I sat through one once, and that was enough for me. But then again, if I knew how to play, it probably would have been much more interesting.

Haha yeah, I can't watch tournaments. Only if something terribly interesting happens, otherwise...I prefer to be playing, unless I'm watching my friends.
